    Description

Nice looking 300+ year old hand painted Delft tile. Purple manganese colored scene with a pair of houses on a shore with a small castle in the background. The spider-like corner designs date this Ditch tile, which would likely have been used in a fireplace surround. Found in New Hampshire.  5 1/4″ square.
Condition: Typical edge flaking and crazing, as would be expected on a piece of this vintage.
