    A VERY NICE LATE 18TH OR EARLY 19TH CENTURY WROUGHT IRON AND DECORATED BRASS TOP AND WOOD HANDLED HEARTH TRIVET IN ITS ORIGINAL OLD GRUNGY SURFACE AND PATINA WITH A FINELY CUT OUT BRASS SHAPED TOP, TALL IRON LEGS WITH PENNY FEET AND ITS ORIGINAL WALNUT HANDLE.
    PROBABLY PENNSYLVANIA OR NEW YORK, CIRCA 1780-1820.
    A VERY FINE EXAMPLE IN NICE ORIGINAL CONDITION
    A WONDERFUL PIECE PROBABLY MADE FOR THE MORE FORMAL OF CHAMBERS AND WAS USED TO HOLD A BRASS TEA KETTLE OR COFFEE POT.
    THE TURNED WOOD HANDLE IS WALNUT.
    Approximately 12" long with handle. It is 5" tall and 5 1/2" deep.
    Typical wear and imperfections with age as described above.
