    Description

    This is an antique Federal era brass exterior door latch that is complete with working thumb piece and both original square iron nuts for attaching to a wooden door, circa 1790 to 1810, or so. Latch is 10 3/8" long and 2 5/16" wide, and it is in excellent original condition and has not been polished in a long time. The iron posts are about 2" long, which is just about right for an antique double thick exterior door on a Colonial house in New England, where this was just found. Shipping is .50 Priority mail.
