Description
Antique 1870s log cabin quilt-Measures 71”x71”
The fabric used for the blocks is mostly wool, with some pieces being silk and velvet. The backing is a green cotton calico. There is no batting, so it’s a lighter weight. As shown in the photos, some of the pieces have shattered and torn. The backing has some age discoloration. There is also some damage to the edges, particularly one corner. So it should probably not be used on a bed- but would make a great wall hanging.
It has been hand washed and dried in the sun- so it’s free of any dust or smells.
