This is a fantastic lidded wood box in excellent condition.   You can tell from the box construction, this is very old.   However, the finish is great and may have been restored?   Not sure.   Finger joint corners.
You can see remnants of the stenciled words:   ORTO*** BRAND, PEPPER, DIXIE SPICE, BALTIMORE MD.
I was told that this box has significant value.
Box measures approx 19.25" x 12.25" x 2.5" high.
This is a very fine show and display piece.
