Fresh to the market is this stunning 19th century folk art carving of the virgin Mary that likely originates from South America.
It is in great original condition with traces of original paint -- and what appears to be oxidized silver paint over the original blue.  Nice, dry attic surface.
This fine carved santos retains its original pedestal.
Measures nearly 14 1/2 inches tall.
Would make an important addition to any collection of 19th century religious folk art or primitives.
