Handmade fabric Santa, children, and sack with puppy inside. All handmade by me. Signed and dated.
This beautiful Santa measures 28 in. from bend in his stuffed and wired hat to bottom of painted on boots. He is 21 in. across his middle. His lower body is weighted for sitting.
He holds a boy and girl in one arm and a Santa sack with a sweet little puppy in the other.
Santa, children and puppy are handmade with muslin fabric. They are each painted and stained with light sanding to smooth the paint.
Santa wears a dark red wool felt suit with fluffy trim. Rusty bells adorn his hat and sack.
He has a spun wool beard and hair. His nose is needle sculpted and his eyes are painted with artist pencils and sealed. He has his own personality and will be a one of a kind.
The children are cute as can be. Their facial features are hand painted with artist pencils and sealed with a fixative to set.
Their hair braids are hand done and stitched to their heads. They are both fully clothed in contrasting fabrics. See photos for details.
Santa holds a sack with a jute string around his arm. The sack is made with burlap and is partially stuffed with moss and other fixings. The puppy is so adorable. he is a complete puppy I made with muslin and painted.
I include a copy of a vintage tag and verse.
