DESCRIPTION:
Offered is this estate fresh and recently discovered in
southern
New Hampshire,
hand carved, hand-held wood grain scoop,
with naturally aged wood patina. The back or heel of the wood scoop has remnants of possibly old blue or blue-gray paint still on it. The interior basin of the scoop has hand-hewn attributes, much as how chestnut beams were hand-hewn in early architectural post and beam home and barn construction, brought to the

New England
primitive wooden grain or flour scoop
has an exaggerated lower scoop, intended to retrieve a large amount of seed, grain or milled flour. Its hand carved wooden handle is contiguous with the scoop and doesn't suffer any fractures or repairs (old or new) There's a small split at the bottom edge of the scoop where over the years and due to repeated use, the scoop's outer edge had weakened and a small split occurred. It has a matte, dry, antique finish and remains as it was found. A wonderful, untouched
New England
primitive.
What's hanging on the walls of your kitchen? Terrific.
CONDITION:
Good to Very Good overall antique condition.
