    A FANTASTIC EARLY 18TH CENTURY AMERICAN QUEEN ANNE PERIOD TABLE TOP OR HANGING CUPBOARD IN PINE AND POPLAR IN THE BEST ORIGINAL OLD GRUNGY BARN RED PAINTED SURFACE AND NICE OLD PATINA.
    IT HAS A SHAPED AND SCROLLED SEMI-BONNET TOP SHAPED PLANK DOOR AND A BEADED SURROUND.
    NEW ENGLAND, CIRCA 1720-1730.
    A wonderful early 18th century hanging cupboard.
    The scrolled top plank door still retains its iron hinges, (later screws) and is surrounded by a beaded board fascia.
    The interior has its original two shelves.
    HUGE ROSE HEAD NAILS THROUGHOUT.
    THE ORIGINAL RED PAINT ON THIS CUPBOARD IS FANTASTIC. IT HAS ALMOST 300 YEARS OF WEAR AND TEAR AND THE COLOR IS MUCH BETTER IN PERSON THAN THE PHOTOS SHOW.
    IT WAS HANGING ON A WALL THAT WAS PAINTED WHITE SO THERE ARE SOME LINES AND SPLASHES OF THAT WHITE.
    THE ORIGINAL BACKBOARD WAS REMOVED MANY YEARS AGO, PROBABLY TO OPEN IT UP TO A WHITE OR PANELED WALL.
    THIS IS A GREAT CUPBOARD.
    The size is fantastic being only 27" tall and 19" wide and 7 1/2" deep.
    The wood is native Poplar and pine.
    Minor damages and losses to the paint as seen.
    As stated above, the hinges are original but the screws have been replaced to tighten them.
    The door has had a couple of knobs and the present brass knob is period but a replacement.
    Also, the back is missing, (it is not needed as the piece is very tight and strong). It would look great opened up to a white wall behind.
