Small Old Black Powder Horn 7" Long, Carved  Wooden stopper.
From top to tip 7" Circa 1800's
I found this on the high shores of Lake Grapevine,  Grapevine TX., where the
Hugh " Gaylord Texan Hotel " was going to be built.
When the announcement was made of the development was going to happen in 2003,
EVERY SUNDAY I would walk the area with backpacks and anything else I could use to pick up items
The area was huge and use to house to 2 Very OLD Homesteads located on a high point close to the dam on the lake.
I found 2 old trash pits that were packed full of old bottles and other old items too numerous to mention. Closer to the lake where they were starting to push dirt, I found allot of Indian artifacts.
I also found a OLD Coke Cola bottle with a rounded bottom
something I have never seen since.
This little Powder Horn, was found closer to where 1 of the old homes sat.
All in all
a wonderful experience and I Hope someone will enjoy the history of the find.
