For your consideration, I'm very pleased to offer this fantastic antique table top flag pole and early 48 star gauze flag. The pole is made of wood, and it retains its original blue painted surface. The finial top is gold with the cast-iron base also be in gold paint. The color is great, and the entire surface is completely untouched. Please see all photos as the grouping does show signs of age, wear and loss. The pole has surface abrasions, but the flag is very worn. It has small tears, a small hole, thin areas and discoloration throughout. The pole and base are 3/4 inch, but the pole has threads and the base does not. They are a perfect fit and look to be original to one another, but the lack of threads on the base has me unsure. This grouping comes to your ready for display from a smoke free home. The flag pole measures approximately 37 inches tall by 5.25 inches across the bottom. The 48* gauze flag measures approximately 17 x 11". The flag is attached to the pole with nails, so it will remain attached during shipping. I will wrap it securely around the pole to keep it from damage.
