Unusual 14KYG Layered Swag Horseshoe Earring Jackets w FW Pearl Button Studs

These great-looking jackets have a vaguely architectural, Deco flavor, but were probably made in the 1980s or 1990s.
Three "U's" in alternating satin and polished finishes are layered over a concave nest for a large stud earring.
Comes with perfectly sized freshwater button pearl studs.
Jacket length:  0.87 inches (22mm)
Jacket width (at top):  0.77 inches (19.5mm)
Pearl size: 11mm x 11mm x 7mm
Weight: 13 grams, of which 2.9 grams can be reasonably attributed to the pearls
Marks:  The jackets are marked "14K" plus an unknown maker's mark.  The butterfly backs are also stamped "14K."  The stud posts are stamped "585" (for 14K gold) plus another unknown maker's mark.
