AN EXTREMELY RARE Small Sized Two Handle 19th Century Glazed NEW ENGLAND REDWARE Crock in THE ABSOLUTE BEST DARK BLACK-BROWN GLAZE.
EXTREMELY RARE COLORS.
GREAT FLARED AND MOLDED RIM AND WONDERFUL MOLDED AND APPLIED SIDE HANDLES.
THIS IS A KILLER OF A PIECE OF EARLY NEW ENGLAND REDWARE. GREAT DARK COLORS WITH A VERY EARLY HEAVY GLAZE.
NICE EARLY OVOID SHAPE WITH BOTH APPLIED HANDLES STILL INTACT.
Early 19th century, New England, Circa 1820-1840.
Fine condition. There are no lines or cracks. There are some minor glaze losses throughout.
A wonderful deep deep color throughout.
7 1/2" tall and 3 1/4" across the base.
